The wind told her to fly, The ocean told her to sing, The moon provided the stage, And the clouds gifted her with wings.
detangling the storm above me, i hurry to push pen to paper– to quiet the thunder, the lightening, the rumbling clouds that threatens more than common rain.
she tastes like the lies you once told me.
hands, lips, and teeth– is that all you have to offer, to a girl like me?
dripping in bliss, she dances with no music yet never misses a beat. her body intertwines with his, tangled in memories that taste bittersweet.
languid fantasies have commanded the stage for aeons, but have we forgotten the beasts we once were–the beasts who did not need music and poetry to convey what they truly desired?
dewy at the center, soft to the touch, (my pink petals taste the sweetest) yet you will never truly have enough.
i crave a love so divine that when we part, the clouds will weep.
