Poetry

like paint

memories can disappear,
drip off the canvas like paint.
clumps of stolen kisses,
a puddle of braided arms
and tangled hair. i dread
the memories captured
with film. rolls of poised
smiles and fake cheer. a
garland of holding hands
and exposed backs. slippery
hands stained with siennna
and black, push me to the edge
and watch as i fall back…
