Poetry

the truth

you never wanted the
truth, did you? i read
you like a book; loose
spine and worn pages,
you were easy to decipher.
you would rather
settle in a cesspit of lies,
coddle yourself on your
own demise, but i won’t
let you, i won’t allow
you to do anything but rise ✨
