Chosen to love you.

The elements have forewarned us
Of the battles ahead,
The walls that will tear,
When I shed my last tear.

I have braved the front lines, for you.
A Glock to my head,
I bit the bullet, for you.
2 bullets left in the chamber,
10 seconds left before time runs out,
I jumped in front of death, for you.

A guardian angel with no pedigree,
Sans bullet proof vest,
I put your life before mine,
And I regret it,
Time after time.

Lock me up for insanity
My only crime is passion,,
I danced with the devil once before
And fell in love with the
Empty promises he whispered to me.

How was I supposed to know
What sins he promised
When all I have been taught is falsities?
