[Love] is undefined
yet also lucid;
a tragic fire that burns
yet a calm salve that soothes.
Buried with these feelings,
this “thing” called [love],
many will succumb, drown
while I resuface, come up for air
as it finally takes hold.

We attempt to define [love]
but living things can never
be so dreadfully singular.
The Earth,
encompassing the peculiar
the intimately familiar,
& the magnificence of Life
could never influence
such zeal with false claims.

Love is alive
so embrace it will you can–
a damned double-edged sword;
giving you life as swiftly as Death rips it away…

  1. nice, i feel it… it truly is.
    “Love is alive
    so embrace it will you can–
    a damned double-edged sword”
