Poetry, Short Poem

like a thousand blades–

They fall one by one.
Flickering, fluidly as a fallen man,
spiraling from the starless sky
like a flurry of snow;
tinkling on the earth like
a child’s  laughter ,
and cutting the flesh like a thousand blades.
