Sometimes it’s easier to hate
Then accept….

A dark cloud rises above me
Casting a shadow, submersing me
Into the deepest, darkest shadows,
The black, evil
Burrows its way into my tender flesh,
Eating its way through my strong muscles
And pausing to sip at my fruitful
And invigorating blood-
It’s like lead-
This dark entity inside of me,
Weighing me down-
Dark thoughts flow freely
And my eyes open
Yet only see the bleakest of nights.
Life has no meaning
In the prison of my self-appointed abyss
Yet I do not scream
For it would useless
For they only see a pretty girl
With a beautiful smile-
Never caring
Never wondering
If she is screaming inside for help.

By the time they do find out-
She is hollow inside-
A vacuum that only takes and steals
The light from others-
For she has lost the ability
As time hardened her.

Lost in the shadows
A cloak shields her from
The good of Day
And the Enigmatic night
But she will no longer care
For she is lost.
